"Benoit Paquet managed a key construction project for Olympic Broadcasting Services Vancouver (OBSV) and the International Broadcasters at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

OBSV engaged A general contractor for the Design/Build of the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) in Vancouver. In turn, Mr. Paquet was engaged by "The general contractor" to lead the project management team as Construction Manager.

The International Broadcast Centre was the central location for the television and radio studios for more than 100 rights holding broadcasters, and the technical and production facilities for our company, Olympic Broadcast Services Vancouver, OBSV.

"The general contractor" started work in June 2009 and had to complete the 30,000 square meters fit-out by mid December "2009". (325,000 square feet)

Mr. Paquet was responsible for hiring each of the consultants (architectural, mechanical, electrical) and the trades, while negotiating each of their contracts within very firm pricing parameters. He was also responsible to lead the day-to-day coordination in the pre-construction phase, acting as the liaison between OBSV and the various disciplines.

There was a great deal at stake to complete the IBC construction on time for the arrival of the rights holders. Mr. Paquet showed an aptitude for flexibility, responsiveness and was fully engaged to complete the design and construction on time. (In fact, “The general contractor” completed the work two weeks early.)

As a result of "Benoit Paquet's" direction and facilitation the consultants and trades gelled together quickly, working as one team to meet OBSV’s expectations.
